About Child Abuse Hotline

Provides a 24 hour hotline to report child neglect or abuse.

Service provides:

  • a 24 hour hotline where suspected cases of child neglect or abuse can be reported

Reporter identity remains confidential.

The Child and Family Services Division has the legal responsibility to investigate all reported cases of suspected child abuse and neglect. Staff and agency partners provide child intervention and family enhancement services to children, youth, and families.

Any suspicion of child abuse or neglect must be reported to:

  • the nearest Child and Family Services (CFS)
  • a local Delegated First Nation Agency (DFNA)
  • or the Child Abuse Hotline

If physical or sexual assaults are suspected, reports may be made to the police.
